		<description>We are observing Remembrance Day up here in Canada.

I play the bagpipes and, for many, many years have done so for one of Canada&#039;s Highland Regiments: the Essex &amp; Kent Scottish, the Black Watch and the Calgary Highlanders.

Needless to say, I have experienced my share of Remembrance Day ceremonies.... some good, some bad.

I appreciate blog posts like yours because they provide a fresh perspective on what can be, at times, a maudlin day.
